Mediation is used to help people reach agreements without going to court. When you attend mediation, you do so with a highly specialised professional who is neutral, experienced and focused on solutions to move forward.

The role of a mediator is to work with people to discuss issues related to their conflict, explore possible options for settlement, and to identify solutions that best meet the needs of each person involved.

There are different ways a mediation can be conducted, including:
